Lat week, the children in Eagle class were listening to music and then writing down what they heard in a visual representation. They listened to various types of music over the ages and came up with some beautiful artwork based on these. Some of them were quite abstract but really captured the music that they were listening to and the emotional feelings that they evoked.
Over the coming weeks we will be using screen printing to create a variety of artwork. Last week, we spent time researching the workings of screen printing. Take a look at our diagrams and explanations of the screen printing process.
This week we have been finishing off our post-swimming catch-up in Kestrel class. As part of this, in D.T. we have been designing blankets for a specific user. Here are some pictures of our designs so far. More pictures to come over the coming term of us finishing our designs and making them using sewing skills:
